959 new cases, most in Selangor

Another 959 Covid-19 cases were recorded today, taking total confirmed infections in the country to 76,265.

Selangor recorded the most cases (277) followed by Sabah (203), Kuala Lumpur (129), Pahang (119) and Johor (100).

Perak and Negeri Sembilan recorded 33 new cases each followed by Penang (29), Kelantan (17), Kedah (16), Melaka (two) and Labuan (one).

Active cases stand at 10,748 with 127 in the ICU and 61 in need of respiratory assistance.

Another 1,068 patients were discharged, bringing total recoveries to 65,124.

However, five more deaths were reported, pushing the virus toll to 393.
