1,309 new cases, 493 in KL

This is followed by 290 in Sabah and 238 in Selangor.

Another 1,309 Covid-19 cases were recorded today, taking total confirmed infections in the country to 64,485.

Of these, 493 or 37.7% were recorded in Kuala Lumpur, with 473 or 95.9% from workplace clusters linked to construction sites.

This was followed by Sabah which recorded 290 new cases (22.2%) and Selangor with 238 (18.2%).

Perak recorded 77 new cases, Kedah 52, Penang 46, Johor 37, Labuan 35, Negeri Sembilan 32, Kelantan six, and Pahang, Melaka and Terengganu one each.

No new cases were recorded in Putrajaya, Sarawak and Perlis.

Active cases stand at 11,481 with 116 in the ICU and 42 in need of respiratory assistance.

Another 1,333 patients were discharged, bringing total recoveries to 52,647 or 81.6%.

However, three more deaths were reported, pushing the virus toll to 357.
