958 new cases, 956 recoveries

Another 958 Covid-19 infections were reported today, bringing total confirmed infections in the country to 52,638.

Of these, 512 were reported in Sabah, 153 in Selangor and 153 in Negeri Sembilan.

Kuala Lumpur reported 46 new cases, Penang 25, Perak 24 and Kedah 19.

Johor reported nine new cases, Kelantan seven, Terengganu four, Melaka two, Sarawak two, Labuan one and Putrajaya one.

Active cases stand at 13,221 with 110 in the ICU and 42 in need of respiratory assistance.

Another 956 patients were discharged, taking total recoveries to 39,088.

However, three more deaths were recorded, pushing the virus toll to 329.
