1,114 new cases, 803 recoveries

Another 1,114 Covid-19 cases were reported today, taking total confirmed infections in the country to 46,209.

Of these, 391 or 35.1% were reported in Sabah, followed by Negeri Sembilan 371, 33.3%).

The Klang Valley saw 217 cases, 145 or 66.8% of which were from existing clusters. Selangor recorded 200 cases, Kuala Lumpur 13, and Putrajaya four.

Perak recorded 53 cases, Penang 34, Johor 15, Kedah 10, Labuan eight, Melaka six, Kelantan five, and Sarawak four.

Active cases stand at 12,131 with 103 in the ICU and 43 in need of respiratory assistance.

Another 803 patients were discharged, pushing total recoveries to 33,772 or 73.1%.

However, two more deaths were recorded, bringing the virus toll to 306.
