Another 1,054 Covid-19 cases were reported today, pushing total confirmed infections in the country to 34,393.

Of these, 678 or 64.3% were recorded in Sabah. Selangor meanwhile recorded 125 new cases, followed by Labuan (81).

Negeri Sembilan reported 71 new cases, followed by Penang (35), Kuala Lumpur (22), Sarawak (21) and Kedah (12).

Perak and Putrajaya recorded three new cases each while Johor, Melaka and Terengganu reported one each.

Active cases stand at 10,135 with 94 in the ICU and 32 in need of respiratory assistance.

Another 875 patients were also discharged, taking total recoveries to 23,995 or 69.8%.

However, 12 more deaths were recorded, all in Sabah, bringing the virus toll to 263.
