865 new cases, 643 in Sabah

Total confirmed cases shoot past 21,000 mark.

Another 865 cases were recorded today, driving total confirmed infections to 21,363.

The bulk of new cases were reported in Sabah (643) while Selangor recorded 107, Labuan 34 and Penang 26.

Perak recorded 18, followed by Melaka (16), Kuala Lumpur (seven), Negeri Sembilan (four), Putrajaya and Kedah (three each) and Johor (two).

No new cases were reported in Perlis, Kelantan and Sarawak.

Active cases now stand at 7,456 with 99 in the ICU and 32 in need of respiratory assistance.

In terms of recoveries, 455 patients were also discharged from hospital, pushing total recoveries to 13,717 or 64.21%.

However, three more deaths were also reported, taking the virus toll to 190.
