Infections hit new high of 869

Another 302 recoveries and four deaths.

New cases soared to an all-time high of 869 today, taking total confirmed infections to 19,627.

Of these, 451 were recorded in Sabah, followed by Penang (189), Selangor (159), Kedah (38) and Kuala Lumpur (15).

Active cases now stand at 6,886, with 91 in the ICU and 30 in need of respiratory assistance.

Another four deaths were also reported, pushing the virus toll to 180.

However, 302 patients were discharged from hospital, taking total recoveries to 12,561.
