Idrus Harun to continue as AG for another six months

Idrus Harun will continue in his role as attorney-general for another six months, Chief Secretary to the Government Mohd Zuki Ali said today.

In a statement, Zuki said that Yang di-Pertuan Agong Sultan Abdullah Sultan Ahmad Shah had approved the reappointment of Idrus for a period of six months effective March 6.

He said this was in line with Clause (1) Article 145 of the Federal Constitution.

Idrus was appointed in March 2020 to replace Tommy Thomas following the latter's resignation in the wake of the collapse of the Pakatan Harapan government.
