New infections continue to hover at 4,800 as 10 more deaths logged

Another 4,831 Covid-19 cases were recorded yesterday, taking total confirmed infections in the country to 4,724,225.

There were 3,362 recoveries, taking total recoveries to 4,642,078.

There are now 46,081 active cases, of which 44,404 or 96.4% are undergoing home quarantine. 

Meanwhile, 33 (0.1%) are at quarantine centres while 1,584 (3.4%) have been hospitalised. 

A total of 60 are in ICU with 40 in need of respiratory assistance. ICU utilisation throughout the country stands at 63.2%, with Covid ICU utilisation at 16.1%.

Another 10 deaths were reported, including two who were brought in dead. Total deaths now stand at 36,066.
