Fording the floods in Johor
Cattle breeder Shaifol Amri Miran struggles to keep his animals alive as floods swamp the state.

Shaifol Amri navigates his boat under an arch at the main gateway of Kampung Temehel in Yong Peng, Johor, one of many areas that have been inundated for days.
He makes the watery trip each day to feed his cattle at his farm, which was destroyed by the floods.
He arrives at the plot of high ground where he is keeping his cattle away from the floods below.
The animals crowd around him in the mud, eager for their food.
A trail of mud leads to a flooded area just nearby, where a house is partially submerged.
Shaifol goes about his other tasks in his boat after feeding his animals.
He cuts palm fronds to feed his cousin's goats, which are also in the area.
At his cousin's house, the goats crowd on the upper level near the roof as flood water swirls below.
His mother-in-law's house is submerged in water almost to the roof.
Shaifol also checks on his neighbour and his pet cats.
