Daily caseload at 279, no new deaths logged

Another 279 Covid-19 cases were recorded yesterday, taking total confirmed infections in the country to 5,044,718.

There were 236 recoveries, taking total recoveries to 4,998,455.

There are now 9,296 active cases, of which 8,964 or 96.4% are undergoing home quarantine. 

Meanwhile, 0 (0.0%) are at quarantine centres while 327 (3.5%) have been hospitalised. 

A total of five are in ICU with one in need of respiratory assistance. 

No new deaths were reported, leaving total deaths unchanged at 36,967.
