173 new infections as death toll stays unchanged

Another 173 Covid-19 cases were recorded yesterday, taking total confirmed infections in the country to 5,042,188.

There were 219 recoveries, taking total recoveries to 4,996,057.

There are now 9,174 active cases, of which 8,845 or 96.4% are undergoing home quarantine. 

Meanwhile, 0 (0%) are at quarantine centres while 317 (3.5%) have been hospitalised. 

A total of 12 are in ICU with seven in need of respiratory assistance. 

No new deaths were reported, leaving total deaths unchanged at 36,957.
