Daily caseload at 259 as death toll up by one

Another 259 Covid-19 cases were recorded yesterday, taking total confirmed infections in the country to 5,039,326.

There were 390 recoveries, taking total recoveries to 4,992,776.

There are now 9,599 active cases, of which 9,268 or 96.6% are undergoing home quarantine. 

Meanwhile, 0 (0%) are at quarantine centres while 320 (3.3%) have been hospitalised. 

A total of 11 are in ICU with four in need of respiratory assistance. 

One more death was reported, taking total deaths to 36,951.
