New infections at 258 as another 2 deaths reported

Another 258 Covid-19 cases were recorded yesterday, taking total confirmed infections in the country to 5,035,871.

There were 309 recoveries, taking total recoveries to 4,989,435.

There are now 9,496 active cases, of which 9,109 or 95.9% are undergoing home quarantine. 

Meanwhile, 0 (0%) are at quarantine centres while 370 (3.9%) have been hospitalised. 

A total of 17 are in ICU with 14 in need of respiratory assistance. 

Another two deaths were reported, including one who was brought in dead. Total deaths now stand at 36,940.
