Daily caseload at 571 as death toll up by 7

Another 571 Covid-19 cases were recorded yesterday, taking total confirmed infections in the country to 5,028,794.

There were 696 recoveries, taking total recoveries to 4,980,364.

There are now 11,564 active cases, of which 10,945 or 94.6% are undergoing home quarantine. 

Meanwhile, 0 (0%) are at quarantine centres while 581 (5%) have been hospitalised. 

A total of 38 are in ICU with 18 in need of respiratory assistance. 

Another seven deaths were reported, including two who were brought in dead. Total deaths now stand at 36,866.
