Daily caseload below 2,900 as another 4 deaths reported

Another 2,898 Covid-19 cases were recorded yesterday, taking total confirmed infections in the country to 4,984,272.

There were 2,789 recoveries, taking total recoveries to 4,920,616.

There are now 27,008 active cases, of which 24,924 or 92.3% are undergoing home quarantine. 

Meanwhile, 14 (0.1%) are at quarantine centres while 1,973 (7.3%) have been hospitalised. 

A total of 97 are in ICU with 57 in need of respiratory assistance. 

Four more deaths were reported, taking total deaths to 36,648.
