Daily caseload tops 2,500 as 11 more deaths reported

Another 2,516 Covid-19 cases were recorded yesterday, taking total confirmed infections in the country to 4,971,936.

There were 2,643 recoveries, taking total recoveries to 4,908,313.

There are now 27,003 active cases, of which 25,071 or 92.8% are undergoing home quarantine. 

Meanwhile, 0 (0.0%) are at quarantine centres while 1,839 (6.8%) have been hospitalised. 

A total of 93 are in ICU with 59 in need of respiratory assistance. 

Another 11 deaths were reported, including seven who were brought in dead. Total deaths now stand at 36,620.
