Daily caseload drops to 1,600 as death toll up by 2

Another 1,633 Covid-19 cases were recorded yesterday, taking total confirmed infections in the country to 4,967,299.

There were 1,989 recoveries, taking total recoveries to 4,903,906.

There are now 26,798 active cases, of which 24,847 or 92.7% are undergoing home quarantine. 

Meanwhile, 0 (0.0%) are at quarantine centres while 1,857 (6.9%) have been hospitalised. 

A total of 94 are in ICU with 55 in need of respiratory assistance.

Two more deaths were reported, taking total deaths to 36,595.
