Daily caseload over 3,300 as another 8 deaths logged

Another 3,304 Covid-19 cases were recorded yesterday, taking total confirmed infections in the country to 4,956,722.

There were 3,045 recoveries, taking total recoveries to 4,891,983.

There are now 28,165 active cases, of which 26,130 or 92.8% are undergoing home quarantine. 

Meanwhile, 0 (0.0%) are at quarantine centres while 1,945 (6.9%) have been hospitalised. 

A total of 90 are in ICU with 49 in need of respiratory assistance. 

Another eight deaths were reported, including three who were brought in dead. Total deaths now stand at 36,574.
