Daily caseload under 1,750 as death toll up by 6

Another 1,749 Covid-19 cases were recorded yesterday, taking total confirmed infections in the country to 4,950,566.

There were 2,564 recoveries, taking total recoveries to 4,885,228.

There are now 28,784 active cases, of which 26,829 or 93.2% are undergoing home quarantine. 

Meanwhile, 0 (0.0%) are at quarantine centres while 1,866 (6.5%) have been hospitalised. 

A total of 89 are in ICU with 54 in need of respiratory assistance. 

Another six deaths were reported, including one who was brought in dead. Total deaths now stand at 36,554.
