New infections still hover at 1,700 as 4 more deaths logged

Another 1,794 Covid-19 cases were recorded yesterday, taking total confirmed infections in the country to 4,850,108.

There were 1,227 recoveries, taking total recoveries to 4,790,116.

There are now 23,601 active cases, of which 948 (4%%) have been hospitalised. 

A total of 36 are in ICU with 24 in need of respiratory assistance. 

Four more deaths were reported, taking total deaths to 36,391.
