Daily infections at 1,600, no new deaths reported

Another 1,626 Covid-19 cases were recorded yesterday, taking total confirmed infections in the country to 4,842,505.

There were 2,386 recoveries, taking total recoveries to 4,781,122.

There are now 25,009 active cases, of which 24,014 or 96.0% are undergoing home quarantine. 

Meanwhile, 0 (0.0%) are at quarantine centres while 953 (3.8%) have been hospitalised. 

A total of 42 are in ICU with 27 in need of respiratory assistance. ICU utilisation throughout the country stands at 60.2%, with Covid ICU utilisation at 11.4%.

No new deaths were reported, leaving the death toll unchanged at 36,374.
