Daily caseload at 2,100 as death toll up by 4

Another 2,144 Covid-19 cases were recorded yesterday, taking total confirmed infections in the country to 4,780,284.

There were 2,549 recoveries, taking total recoveries to 4,712,915.

There are now 31,159 active cases, of which 29,784 or 95.6% are undergoing home quarantine. 

Meanwhile, 15 (0.0%) are at quarantine centres while 1,288 (4.1%) have been hospitalised. 

A total of 72 are in ICU with 50 in need of respiratory assistance. ICU utilisation throughout the country stands at 63.5%, with Covid ICU utilisation at 19.3%.

Another four deaths were reported, including one who was brought in dead. Total deaths now stand at 36,210.
