Daily caseload at 3,300 as death toll up by 9

Another 3,300 Covid-19 cases were recorded yesterday, taking total confirmed infections in the country to 4,654,951.

There were 5,227 recoveries, taking total recoveries to 4,572,712.

There are now 46,316 active cases, of which 44,732 or 96.6% are undergoing home quarantine. 

Meanwhile, 21 (0.0%) are at quarantine centres while 1,512 (3.3%) have been hospitalised. 

A total of 51 are in ICU with 28 in need of respiratory assistance. ICU utilisation throughout the country stands at 62.1%, with Covid ICU utilisation at 13.5%.

Another nine deaths were reported, including three who were brought in dead. Total deaths now stand at 35,923.
