Daily caseload falls below 1,900 as another 8 deaths reported

Another 1,894 Covid-19 cases were recorded yesterday, taking total confirmed infections in the country to 4,558,558.

There were 1,944 recoveries, taking total recoveries to 4,494,711.

There are now 28,093 active cases, of which 26,894 or 95.7% are undergoing home quarantine.

Meanwhile, 15 (0.1%) are at quarantine centres while 1,150 (4.1%) have been hospitalised.

A total of 34 are in ICU with 20 in need of respiratory assistance. ICU utilisation throughout the country stands at 61.0%, with Covid ICU utilisation at 7.9%.

Another eight deaths were reported, including one who was brought in dead. Total deaths now stand at 35,754.
