New cases hover at 10,400 as another 18 deaths logged

Another 10,413 Covid-19 cases were recorded yesterday, taking total confirmed infections in the country to 4,363,024.

There were 13,202 recoveries, taking total recoveries to 4,209,858.

There are now 117,785 active cases, of which 114,854 or 97.5% are undergoing home quarantine.

Meanwhile, 366 (0.3%) are at quarantine centres while 2,411 (2.0%) have been hospitalised.

A total of 154 are in ICU with 89 in need of respiratory assistance. ICU utilisation throughout the country stands at 53.1%, with Covid ICU utilisation at 17.9%.

Another 18 deaths were reported, including five who were brought in dead. Total deaths now stand at 35,381.
