Online submissions of tax returns for 2021 will be accepted beginning March 1, the Inland Revenue Board (LHDN) said today.

In a statement, it said the submission of tax return forms through e-filing for Forms E, BE, B, M, BT, MT, P, TF and TP can be made through the official HASiL portal.

“Taxpayers are advised to submit their return forms and to pay their income tax within the stipulated period,” it said.

“Return Form submission status, refund process, e-Ledger and monthly tax deducations can be checked through MyTax.”

LHDN also advised taxpayers to keep all necessary documents including income statements, receipts and invoices for at least seven years as stipulated under Sections 82 and 82A of the Income Tax Act 1967.

“This is to facilitate the e-filing process as well as future compliance checks by HASiL,” it said.

Inquiries and feedback can be channelled to HASiL through its careline (03-8911 1000), live chat or through feedback forms at LHDN’s official portal.
