47 reported Covid deaths take toll to 30,521

Of these, 12 were brought-in-dead cases.

Another 47 Covid-related deaths were reported on Dec 2, taking the cumulative death toll in the country to 30,521.

According to the health ministry’s Github data repository, 12 or 25.5% of these were brought-in-dead (BID) cases.

Selangor had the highest number of reported deaths at nine or 19.1%.

Kelantan, Perak and Sabah reported the second-highest deaths at six or 12.8%.

Penang and Terengganu reported five deaths each while Kuala Lumpur reported three deaths and Johor reported two deaths.

Kedah, Melaka, Negeri Sembilan, Sarawak and Labuan reported one death each.

No deaths were reported in Pahang, Perlis and Putrajaya.

A total of 5,806 new cases were reported yesterday, taking the overall total to 2,644,027.

As of yesterday, there were 62,253 active Covid-19 cases reported and 7,246 recoveries.
