Daily cases fall below 20,000

Just over 7,000 cases in Selangor, 2,450 in Kuala Lumpur.

Another 19,257 Covid-19 cases were recorded today, taking total confirmed infections in the country to 1,243,852.

Selangor recorded 7,084 cases, Kuala Lumpur 2,450, Kedah 1,514, Sabah 1,255 and Johor 1,182.

Penang recorded 959 cases, Kelantan 930, Negeri Sembilan 884, Perak 774, Pahang 714, Sarawak 573, Terengganu 425 and Melaka 414.

Putrajaya recorded 56 cases, Perlis 41 and Labuan two.

Active cases stand at 224,120 with 1,097 in the ICU and 575 in need of respiratory assistance.

Another 16,323 patients were discharged, bringing total recoveries to 1,009,343.

However, 210 more deaths were reported, pushing the virus toll to 10,389.
