Another 134 deaths as daily cases surge past 13,000 again

Another 13,034 Covid-19 cases were recorded today, taking total confirmed infections in the country to 964,918.

Selangor recorded 6,049 cases, Kuala Lumpur 1,611, Johor 791, Negeri Sembilan 711, Kedah 701, Sarawak 644, Sabah 497, Terengganu 391, Penang 371, Melaka 353, Perak 284, Pahang 261, Kelantan 240 and Putrajaya 100.

Labuan recorded 24 cases and Perlis six.

Active cases stand at 142,041 with 938 in the ICU and 459 in need of respiratory assistance.

Another 8,436 patients were discharged, bringing total recoveries to 815,293.

However, 134 more deaths were reported, pushing the virus toll to 7,574.
