6,658 new cases as Selangor tops 3,000

Another 107 deaths push virus toll to 5,434.

Another 6,658 Covid-19 cases were recorded today, taking total confirmed infections in the country to 772,607.

Selangor recorded 3,047 cases, Negeri Sembilan 699, Kuala Lumpur 616, Johor 414, Sarawak 361, Melaka 345, Sabah 322, Pahang 200, Kedah 145, Penang 142, Labuan 108 and Perak 101.

Kelantan recorded 89 cases, Terengganu 51, Putrajaya 16 and Perlis two.

Active cases stand at 66,958 with 892 in the ICU and 443 in need of respiratory assistance.

Another 5,677 patients were discharged, bringing total recoveries to 700,215.

However, 107 more deaths were reported, pushing the virus toll to 5,434.
