Cases continue to hover over 5,800 with another 82 deaths

2,187 cases in Selangor, 771 in Kuala Lumpur.

Another 5,812 Covid-19 cases were recorded today, taking total confirmed infections in the country to 722,659.

Selangor recorded 2,187 cases, Kuala Lumpur 771, Sarawak 673, Negeri Sembilan 658, Penang 270, Melaka 223, Johor 196, Kedah 186, Sabah 156, Pahang 139 and Labuan 123.

Kelantan recorded 98 cases, Perak 72, Terengganu 46 and Putrajaya 14.

Active cases stand at 60,117 with 870 in the ICU and 433 in need of respiratory assistance.

Another 6,775 patients were discharged, bringing total recoveries to 657,739.

However, 82 more deaths were reported, pushing the virus toll to 4,803.
