Dip in daily cases as total infections top 600,000

Another 7,748 Covid-19 cases were recorded today, taking total confirmed infections in the country to 603,122.

Selangor recorded 2,612 cases, Kuala Lumpur 851, Sarawak 706, Negeri Sembilan 709, Johor 446, Penang 376, Perak 371, Sabah 287, Kelantan 286, Kedah 263, Melaka 234, Labuan 230, Terengganu 203 and Pahang 146.

Putrajaya recorded 20 cases and Perlis eight.

Active cases stand at 84,369 with 883 in the ICU and 459 in need of respiratory assistance.

Another 6,624 patients were discharged, bringing total recoveries to 515,571.

However, 86 more deaths were reported, pushing the virus toll to 3,182.
