Hundreds of students at a primary school in Shah Alam were told not to attend classes today, following a Covid-19 case involving a Standard Two student who is believed to have transmitted it from his mother.

Sekolah Kebangsaan Bukit Jelutong said classes will be suspended until further notice.

The school also said the district health office had directed the student’s classmates, as well as eight teachers, to undergo swab tests.

When contacted by MalaysiaNow, the school’s headmaster referred the matter to the education ministry.

Standard One and Two students started school on March 1 following a two-month delay of the 2021 schooling year.
