1,012 new cases, 417 in Selangor

Four more deaths, 1,750 recoveries.

Another 1,012 Covid-19 cases were recorded today, taking total confirmed infections in the country to 75,306.

Selangor reported the most cases at 417 or 41.2%, followed by Sabah (271 or 26.8%) and Johor (108 cases or 10.7%).

Kuala Lumpur recorded 98 cases, Pahang 33, Perak 29, Negeri Sembilan 23, Penang 18, Kedah 10, Sarawak and Kelantan two each, and Putrajaya one.

In Selangor, 115 cases were from clusters, 116 from close contact screening, 185 from other screenings and one from overseas.

In Sabah meanwhile 70 cases were from clusters, 121 from close contact screening and 80 from other screenings.

In Johor, 63 cases were from clusters, 22 from close contact screening and 23 from other screenings.

In Kuala Lumpur, 48 cases were from clusters, 12 from close contact screening, five from overseas and 33 from other screenings.

Active cases stand at 10,862 with 126 in the ICU and 62 in need of respiratory assistance.

Another 1,750 patients were discharged, bringing total recoveries to 64,056.

However, four more deaths were reported, pushing the virus toll to 388.
