PN, allies to clash in 11 seats in Sabah polls

There are 73 seats up for grab in this state election with nomination tomorrow and polling on Sept 26.

Perikatan Nasional (PN) and its allies Barisan Nasional (BN) and Parti Bersatu Sabah (PBS) are likely to face off against each other in at least 11 seats in the Sabah election, according to their candidate lists announced yesterday.

The seats are Bengkoka (Umno/PBS), Telupid (Umno/PBS), Matunggong (PBS/PBRS), Kadamaian (PBS/PBRS), Tandek (PBS/PBRS), Tulid (PN/PBRS), Sook (PN/PBRS), Kapayan (MCA/PBS), Karamunting (MCA/PBS), Paginatan (Umno/PN) and Tanjung Aru (Umno/PBS).

PN, comprising Bersatu, STAR and SAPP, will contest a total of 29 seats. PBS will contest 15 while BN component parties Umno, MCA and PBRS will contest 40.

There are 73 seats up for grab in this state election with nomination this Saturday and polling on Sept 26.

PN, BN and PBS will use their own symbols in the election.

On the other side, Warisan and its allies DAP and Amanah will contest 54 seats while Upko will field candidates in 14 for a total of 68 seats.

PKR has yet to announce its candidate list.

However, it along with Warisan and Upko will use its own symbols.
