What did we just see at Dataran?

Politicians should understand that politics has taken a backseat during the Covid-19 pandemic.

My family and I watched in disbelief as opposition MPs, members of the media and others gathered around in Dataran Merdeka and then, outside Parliament.

What kind of message are these MPs trying to give the people? Where were the SOPs, especially social distancing?

In their greed for power, they seem to have forgotten everything and are putting themselves, the media and others at risk. Are we going to hear soon about a Parliament cluster?

Why can’t these people be patient and wait for the pandemic to ease off before pursuing their quest for power?

Sooner or later we will go to the polls, then let the rakyat decide. To my family and me, the ones who help us the most now are going to get our votes, certainly not the trouble makers.

I just cannot make sense of what happened this morning or the #Lawan protest – these are all just manmade breeding grounds for the Covid-19 virus.

These politicians need to understand – we don’t care anything about politics now.

As far as we are concerned, we are suffering and Muhyiddin Yassin is giving us aid – that’s all that matters.

If these opposition MPs are so keen to fight for our rights, then why did they waste the first three days of the Parliament sitting on utter nonsense?

To my family and me, this is all just nonsense and nothing more than sheer greed for power.

Get together, put your differences aside and help the government help us through these trying times. That is what we need now.
