Mid Valley Megamall announces temporary closure after fire

No injuries or casualties have been reported so far.

Mid Valley City today confirmed reports of a fire at Mid Valley Megamall, saying the popular shopping centre will be closed until further notice.

In a statement on Facebook, it said the blaze broke out at the external TNB substation and was contained by the emergency response team. 

A team from the fire and rescue department meanwhile arrived on scene at 10.42am. No injuries or casualties had been reported as of 11.38am. 

Mid Valley also said that power supply would be temporarily disrupted.

A spokesman for the fire and rescue department meanwhile said that a statement would be issued soon.
