Umno to use 'dacing' symbol for state polls

Umno president Ahmad Zahid Hamidi has confirmed that party candidates will use the "dacing" symbol for the elections in six states. 

The deputy prime minister said the other parties in the coalition government would be using their own symbols for their candidates.   

"Nonetheless, we will be mobilised as one machinery among the parties in the unity government," he told reporters after in Kuala Nerus yesterday.

On the allocation of seats, Zahid, who is also Barisan Nasional chairman, said Umno had yet to formally discuss the matter with other parties in the government.
