New infections hover at 1,500 as another 3 deaths reported

Another 1,576 Covid-19 cases were recorded yesterday, taking total confirmed infections in the country to 5,001,908.

There were 2,278 recoveries, taking total recoveries to 4,943,392.

There are now 21,800 active cases, of which 20,198 or 92.7% are undergoing home quarantine. 

Meanwhile, 0 (0%) are at quarantine centres while 1,504 (6.9%) have been hospitalised. 

A total of 98 are in ICU with 69 in need of respiratory assistance. 

Another three deaths were reported, including two who were brought in dead. Total deaths now stand at 36,716.
