New infections below 1,900 as death toll up by 6

Another 1,866 Covid-19 cases were recorded yesterday, taking total confirmed infections in the country to 4,998,830.

There were 2,814 recoveries, taking total recoveries to 4,939,021.

There are now 23,099 active cases, of which 21,422 or 92.7% are undergoing home quarantine. 

Meanwhile, 0 (0%) are at quarantine centres while 1,575 (6.8%) have been hospitalised. 

A total of 102 are in ICU with 69 in need of respiratory assistance. 

Another six deaths were reported, including one who was brought in dead. Total deaths now stand at 36,710.
