New infections top 2,300 as another 11 deaths logged

A total of 91 are in ICU with 57 in need of respiratory assistance.

Another 2,375 Covid-19 cases were recorded yesterday, taking total confirmed infections in the country to 4,994,543.

There were 2,857 recoveries, taking total recoveries to 4,933,381.

There are now 24,467 active cases, of which 22,637 or 92.5% are undergoing home quarantine. 

Meanwhile, 0 (0%) are at quarantine centres while 1,739 (7.1%) have been hospitalised. 

A total of 91 are in ICU with 57 in need of respiratory assistance.

Another 11 deaths were reported, including two who were brought in dead. Total deaths now stand at 36,695.
