New infections below 1,700 as death toll up by 10

Another 1,672 Covid-19 cases were recorded yesterday, taking total confirmed infections in the country to 4,990,431.

There were 2,722 recoveries, taking total recoveries to 4,927,186.

There are now 26,578 active cases, of which 24,573 or 92.5% are undergoing home quarantine. 

Meanwhile, 0 (0%) are at quarantine centres while 1,911 (7.2%) have been hospitalised. 

A total of 94 are in ICU with 52 in need of respiratory assistance.

Another 10 deaths were reported, including two who were brought in dead. Total deaths now stand at 36,667.
