Daily caseload under 2,500 as 5 more deaths logged

Another 2,465 Covid-19 cases were recorded yesterday, taking total confirmed infections in the country to 4,988,759.

There were 2,029 recoveries, taking total recoveries to 4,924,464.

There are now 27,638 active cases, of which 25,614 or 92.7% are undergoing home quarantine. 

Meanwhile, 0 (0%) are at quarantine centres while 1,932 (7%) have been hospitalised. 

A total of 92 are in ICU with 51 in need of respiratory assistance. 

Another five deaths were reported, including two who were brought in dead. Total deaths now stand at 36,657.
