PN to provide checks and balance, Muhyiddin says in congratulating Anwar

Perikatan Nasional (PN) chairman Muhyiddin Yassin today congratulated Anwar Ibrahim on his appointment as prime minister, saying his coalition would provide checks and balance to the federal government led by Pakatan Harapan (PH). 

"Moving forwards, PN will continue its struggle for the well-being of the people and the prosperity of the country, in line with its principles of being caring, clean and stable," he said in a statement today. 

Anwar, the PH chairman, was sworn in as prime minister yesterday following his appointment by the Yang di-Pertuan Agong. 

Gabungan Parti Sarawak, Gabungan Rakyat Sabah and Umno have said they will cooperate with the government led by Anwar, for the well-being of the country.
