Daily caseload passes 1,700 as death toll up by 2

There are now 23,038 active cases, of which 22,011 or 95.5% are undergoing home quarantine.

Another 1,722 Covid-19 cases were recorded yesterday, taking total confirmed infections in the country to 4,848,314.

There were 1,639 recoveries, taking total recoveries to 4,788,889.

There are now 23,038 active cases, of which 22,011 or 95.5% are undergoing home quarantine. 

Meanwhile, 0 (0.0%) are at quarantine centres while 979 (4.2%) have been hospitalised. 

A total of 48 are in ICU with 26 in need of respiratory assistance. ICU utilisation throughout the country stands at 63.5%, with Covid ICU utilisation at 13.2%.

Two more deaths were reported, both of which were brought in dead. Total deaths now stand at 36,387.
