New infections top 1,400 as 5 more deaths logged

There are now 22,957 active cases, of which 21,958 or 95.6% are undergoing home quarantine.

Another 1,483 Covid-19 cases were recorded yesterday, taking total confirmed infections in the country to 4,846,592.

There were 1,852 recoveries, taking total recoveries to 4,787,250.

There are now 22,957 active cases, of which 21,958 or 95.6% are undergoing home quarantine. 

Meanwhile, 0 (0.0%) are at quarantine centres while 957 (4.2%) have been hospitalised. 

A total of 42 are in ICU with 23 in need of respiratory assistance. ICU utilisation throughout the country stands at 63.4%, with Covid ICU utilisation at 11.5%.

Another five deaths were reported, including one who was brought in dead. Total deaths now stand at 36,385.
