Umno will only return to the negotiation table with PAS if the Islamist party meets three conditions, Ahmad Zahid Hamidi says.

The Umno president said these conditions were conveyed to PAS president Abdul Hadi Awang at their recent meeting.

However, when asked what they were, Zahid said: "I have conveyed (to PAS), it is better that I do not mention them.

"They (PAS) are aware of the conditions, and only when they fulfil those terms, can negotiations proceed," he said in Alor Gajah yesterday.

Zahid, who is also Barisan Nasional chairman, said cooperation between Umno and PAS in the 15th general election would remain at status quo if PAS made no official decision on the matter.

"As long as PAS does not make an official decision, we will not be able to resolve the issues and differences between the two parties," he said.
