Daily caseload dips to 1,600 as 2 more deaths logged

There are now 24,532 active cases, of which 23,336 or 95.1% are undergoing home quarantine.

Another 1,608 Covid-19 cases were recorded yesterday, taking total confirmed infections in the country to 4,831,822.

There were 2,352 recoveries, taking total recoveries to 4,770,940.

There are now 24,532 active cases, of which 23,336 or 95.1% are undergoing home quarantine. 

Meanwhile, three (0.0%) are at quarantine centres while 1,142 (4.7%) have been hospitalised. 

A total of 51 are in ICU with 29 in need of respiratory assistance. ICU utilisation throughout the country stands at 63.3%, with Covid ICU utilisation at 13.9%.

Two more deaths were reported, taking total deaths to 36,350.
