New infections below 2,000 as death toll up by 6

There are now 27,158 active cases, of which 25,915 or 95.4% are undergoing home quarantine.

Another 1,977 Covid-19 cases were recorded yesterday, taking total confirmed infections in the country to 4,815,679.

There were 2,018 recoveries, taking total recoveries to 4,752,216.

There are now 27,158 active cases, of which 25,915 or 95.4% are undergoing home quarantine. 

Meanwhile, five (0.0%) are at quarantine centres while 1,178 (4.3%) have been hospitalised. 

A total of 60 are in ICU with 41 in need of respiratory assistance. ICU utilisation throughout the country stands at 62.5%, with Covid ICU utilisation at 16.3%.

Another six deaths were reported, including two who were brought in dead. Total deaths now stand at 36,305.
